About Biffen’s Kitchen

“To spark inspiration in simple and well-balanced everyday cooking”

I believe you should be able to enjoy all kinds of food to live a healthy and pleasant lifestyle. My recipes vary from superfood and delicious salads to cheeky guilty pleasures you have once a week. Just like anything in life, if you have too much of one thing, it can be bad for you. Remember, you don’t have to be spot-on every day – just try and keep it balanced across the week.

Everyday cooking

No #foodporn. No 30+ ingredient shopping lists. No exotic ingredients you can only get at Brixton Market. Just simple meals you can make when you are hungry or be wanting to impress family and friends.

I want you to know you can come to Biffen’s Kitchen and find a recipe that will cater to your everyday needs.

My Aim

I want my recipes to encourage people not to skip breakfast, to make your work colleagues jealous when they see your lunch and to bring people together at dinner time. Save money, time, washing up and space when you cook as a house.

Who Am I?

Hi, I’m George Biffen (Biff), and I love eating as much as I love cooking food. My partner in crime is my family owned pet Weimaraner, Faith who you will see getting involved in many of the pictures and relishes picking up the crumbs.

I started Biffen’s Kitchen to inspire myself and friends to try new and simple dishes, moving away from those repetitive meals… Yes, pasta pesto every day, I’ve been there too.

I never thought I would be confident enough to write and blog my own site but here we are. Don’t let barriers stop you from doing what you love.

For me, my barrier was always dyslexia, but I wanted to prove to myself that with the extra hard work and using Grammarly (an absolute godsend!) it would be possible.

How did it start?

In the summer of 2014, after I graduated from University, I had spare time before jet-setting around the world.

So, I decided to start an Instagram page as my homemade food pictures, and funny pictures of Faith was the attention of my friends. This was the birth of DogsDinner.

One year on I decided to learn how to design a website and rebranded from DogsDinner as it was far too… dog like!

So I came up with the simple name Biffen’s Kitchen. A simple name for a simple purpose.

So there you have it. I hope you understand Biffen’s Kitchen and myself a little better. Don’t be shy to say hi and let me know what you think about my website and recipes by leaving a quick Google review. This would be a HUGE help in my Google rankings and SEO. Come on and help the little guy grow his dream!

Big love,

When I’m not cooking…
